Paula Caroline dos Reis Oliveira
I have a degree in Biological Sciences (bachelor's and licentiate) (2006) and a master's degree (2009) from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP- Botucatu). I worked as an environmental specialist at the secretary of green and environment of the city of São Paulo in environmental inspection, management of green areas and monitoring of urban lakes (2009-2016). In 2019, I received a PhD in aquatic ecology from Universiteit van Amsterdam (Netherlands). I have a postdoctoral degree from Universidade Vila Velha in partnership with SUPSI (Switzerland) (2021). I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at ESALQ and coordinator of aquatic biodiversity at TWRA. I am interested in freshwater ecology with an emphasis on ecology applied to ecosystem restoration. My research covers the following topics: limnology, ecological restoration of rivers, benthic invertebrates, decomposition and ecosystem processes. I have a son and I was on maternity leave in March-June 2020.
